RTG Custom is pleased to announce the launch of our new SuperDegradable™ collection:
GREEN HAS NEVER BEEN EASIER
Introducing Transitions™, the first SuperDegradable™ cutlery and serving ware that biodegrades very quickly in an active and enclosed landfill. No end-of-life management required. Because, over 90% of all plastic cutlery ends up in the garbage and ultimately a landfill…. Transitions™ is a long term solution for the millions of pieces, of single use cutlery used every day… that are not routed to an industrial composting facility. (There are less than 135 certified facilities in the United States)

Transitions™ SuperDegradable™ cutlery looks, feels and performs just like high quality plastic cutlery including, resistance to high heat. Forget everything you know about biodegradable cutlery and move over to Transitions™…. A BIG solution, for the disposal of single use plastic cutlery.
OUR COMMITMENT
RTG Custom Supply continues its commitment to responsible innovation be developing the next generation SuperDegradable™ cutlery and serving ware for the food service industry. Our new product line is manufactured with a really smart material that degrades very quickly in an active and enclosed landfill. It not only degrades quickly…. It biodegrades very quickly. This product provides the food service industry with confidence, that, even in less than ideal disposal situations, decomposing in a short period of time is a reality.
HOW IT WORKSThird party ASTM D5511 testing data shows that our SuperDegradable™ additive allows microbial activity to break down the molecular structure of polypropylene, polystyrene and polyethylene at levels up to 100 times faster than without the additive. The biodegradation process begins when the plastic enters into a landfill. The microbes colonize on the outer surface of the plastic and begin to digest and break it down. Since our product works via microbes, it is distinct from other technologies which use heat, moisture, mechanical methods or UV.
Once in a landfill our products begin biodegradation, and takes approximately 3-5 years (a blink of an eye in typical degradation time) to completely biodegrade. Transitions™ SuperDegradable™ cutlery and serving ware looks, performs, and feels like high quality plastic cutlery and easily withstands the most severe heat tests. Doing the right thing has never been easier.
